COSMOS DISCO

SAIKO OTAKE

MAY 31, 2019 - AUG 22, 2019

CONCEPT

From infinite space to the microscopic areas inside the cytomembrane, a panoramic view of her sparkling world of creation “collected” by her imagination will be shown at Saiko Otake’s long-awaited solo exhibition.

DIESEL ART GALLERY presents Saiko Otake’s first solo exhibition in Japan “COSMOS DISCO" showcasing her drawings, paintings and photographs together from Friday, May 31 through Thursday, August 22.

Saiko Otake, born in 1988, graduated from University of the Arts London. After coming back to Japan in 2016, based in Ehime and Tokyo, she has been actively working on her creation in Japan and overseas.

Fragments of the cosmos discovered by her sensitive antenna are developed into bold and delicate construct after time. Her collage work using various techniques is an approach to somewhere in different dimension.

More than 30 pieces of new works will be shown which are available for purchase, and related goods will be sold at the exhibition. She will also work on her drawings at the venue for 5 days from the opening day Friday, May 31 to Tuesday, June 4. Furthermore on Saturday, July 20, we will hold live painting from 15:00 and artist talk with the musician ohashiTrio as a guest from 16:30.
Saiko Otake’s brilliance will attract the audience at the exhibition “COSMOS DISCO.”
