Street Photographer RK’s Vision of Crimson Fantasy

DIESEL ART GALLERY presents “NEOrient” a solo exhibition of Japanese photographer RK, from February 28 to May 21, 2020. RK is a Street Photographer who works mainly in the Asia region.


Active in photography, graphic design and DJ, RK gained attention in 2013 as an exclusive iPhone photographer for the running crew “AFE TOKYO”. Soon after converting to DSLR camera, he has captured various notable works such as “Grandpa in Akihabara” and “Bike at Taipei Bridge”. His other accomplishments includes his photo of Fujiyoshida City was shared on Instagram’s official account. With his Instagram follower has reached over 400K, he is currently one of the most considered Japanese artist. RK’s magical and colorful take on street, building structure, and nature is not only gaining attention domestically, but also from media internationally.


In this exhibition, there will be showing and a chance to purchase RK’s notable and unreleased work, as well as exclusive catalogs, t-shirt, and postcards for sale.

Born in 1982 in Ibaraki Prefecture. While working for a graphic design company, he begins capturing and editing through an iPhone in 2013. In 2014, selected as a Suggested User by Instagram Official. In 2017, hosts an event at the Apple Ginza store. He begins to focus on photography while being active in DJ and graphic designs. Begins to gain tremendous attention on Instagram through his unique style of capturing crowded imagery. In April 2018, he converts to a freelance artist. Currently collaborating with brands from various genres and regions mainly in Asia.
